The Allied Health program is offered through Neosho County Community College. The classes will be taken on site at the Lawrence College & Career Center (CCC). Certified Nurse Aid (CNA); Certified Medication Aide (CMA); Medical Terminology
The Certified Nurse Aide or CNA is designed for individuals seeking an entry-level position in the area of adult healthcare. This course includes a study of the aging process and its related conditions and the nursing skills required in assisting geriatric residents to reach and maintain their highest level of wellness consistent with the limitations imposed by the aging process. The course is taught at the Lawrence College & Career Center and includes forty-five (45) hours of theory and twenty-five (25) hours of supervised clinical experience in a nursing home and twenty (20) hours of lab. This course prepares students for the Certified Nurse Aide Exam.
