The workplace/computer & academic skills classes are offered through Johnson County Community College.

About the Classes

The workplace/computer & academic skills classes are offered through Johnson County Community College (JCCC). The classes will be taken at Peaslee Tech. You must enroll for classes through JCCC. The JCCC website can be found here.

Some classes are offered for credit and are not eligible for KS Senate bill 155. The courses offered are beneficial and will be helpful when pursuing new careers. The classes are applicable across all programs. There are also non-credit computer applications courses in excel, access, social media, and outlook. These classes are beneficial for many different industries but are non credit classes.

Admissions Criteria

Applications must be sent to JCCC. Official high school transcripts or GED scores are required. Necessary testing must be completed. Contact JCCC for information about required testing.

An ACT score of 19 or higher in English and Reading, 23 or higher in Math will waive the ACCUPLACER Placement Exam OR students can complete the ACCUPLACER Placement Exam in Writing, Reading and Math. Students also can complete concurrent coursework with a C or better and submit college transcript to waive the ACCUPLACER Placement Exam.

After applying, students should complete the financial aid process and new student orientation before enrolling in class. Interested students should contact us today!
